Dying with dignity

“This place is a dream.  Only a dreamer considers it real.  Then, one day death comes like dawn and you wake laughing at what you thought was your grief.”

-- Rumi

As a NEDA-proficient Death Doula, I weave my plant world with those leaving this one!
I have been honored to usher souls from this world to the next,
holding them pristinely in their wishes, and holding their loved ones with equal compassion.
I am a devoted champion for human dignity, and the chance to die surrounded by tenderness, love, & beauty.

what is a death doula

  • End of Life [EOL] Doulas serve as a custom and personalized guide for the dying process offering education, advocacy, and resources.

  • They provide emotional, practical, compassionate support and focused coaching to the dying, and their loved ones.

  • They advocate for the dying so that they can leave this life by their wishes with as much peace as is possible, body, mind, & spirit.

  • They work collaboratively with Hospice and Palliative care teams as a neutral third party. The support is non-medical and non-clinical.

  • Death Doulas are kin to Birth Doulas. Instead of an arrival, EOL Doulas intend to soothe the departure w/as much grace as is possible.

My unique offering

  • My unique offering as an EOL Doula is plant therapy, energy attunement, & decades of experience holding space for grief, loss, and trauma.

  • I studied with the impeccable Alua Arthur, and as a NEDA-proficient Doula, I bring heart for being human; no personal religion or ideology.

  • The dying and their loved ones are met with no judgement, offering respect and a heightened sensitivity for the process death invites.

is it time to say farewell to a loved one?
is it you saying farewell?

how we might work together?
i offer hourly support & packages of care

  • Death Preparation

Need support ensuring your affairs are in order? Paperwork, Legacy Work, Arrangements Oh My!
Allow me to soften the load from burden to bliss - sounds audacious I know, but it is what’s possible.

  • Grief & Loss

This support is inherently golden in the process of letting go; it is a weathered skill and trust with which most of us are already intimate. I have been lucky to mentor with some of the best in their field! I listen, I guide, I allow for the dynamic possibility to feel everything is going to be okay, even when it’s not.

  • Acute Support at End of life

This window is when dying is imminent - when you & your loved ones may need a lot of support over a condensed amount of time. This time can be filled with awe, beauty, forgiveness, peace, mystery, and intentions that bless & heal across generations.

Everything about death and grief often seems overwhelming. We sometimes become paralyzed on how to start the process.
Let’s take first steps together toward creating a path and finding relief.

A personal Death & Dying Consultation to determine needs is where to begin.

Our time together will be rich; you will be supported, peppered with resources, and we may even laugh, and find some poetry in this being human!

“only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. and when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. and when the earth shall claim your limbs, then you shall truly dance”
